Tropical house is a sub-genre of deep house. The genre was popularized by DJs such as Kygo & Robin Schulz along with Lost Frequencies. The phrase was coined by Australian DJ Thomas Jack who used as a way to describe the sound that he was producing. The genre started to gain popularity in 2013.
