Kygo and manager Myles Shear launch Palm Tree Records
Kygo and his manager Myles Shear have made sure that summer never ends and have teamed up to announce the establishment of their new record label ‘Palm Tree’ records. This will be emblematic of Kygo’s Tropical House sound.
Palm Tree Records is devoted to“identifying and cultivating emerging artistry in dance and electronic music,”. It will be run in partnership with Sony Music.
Palm Tree Records will give space for new artists to grow. Kygo has stated that “I’ve always been very fond of working with talented, undiscovered artists in my own releases,” Kygo said of the initiative. “It’s been an amazing process to watch these artists grow and now I’m able to help projects I love by offering a label and management service with an incredible team.”
We are thrilled to be expanding our successful relationship with Kygo and Myles,” Sony Music CEO Rob Stringer is quoted. “Kygo is one of the most forward-thinking and exciting artists in music today, and Myles is among the most innovative, creative artist developers around. This feels like a natural extension of our partnership as we develop together the musical output of Palm Tree Records.”
There have been no official releases yet but stay tuned for updates on this. We wish Kygo all the success he deserves and are glad to have another label releasing Tropical House Music to join the space.
