It has been a while since we have done one of these so we thought we would take a look at some of the big news stories that have taken place so far in 2021.
Sam Feldt deletes Instagram
Sam Feldt at the start of the year mysteriously deleted all of the posts on his Instagram and other socials, he also changed his profile pictures. This led to speculation that he may be changing his sound. Not much is known what is actually happening but the did leave us with this teaser on his socials stating ‘The Next Chapter’.
Not much is known about this apart from announcing a small reason in one of his latest episodes of Heartfeldt Radio stating that it is all to do with his new song which will debut a whole new style. There a rumours that this could be a collaboration with the singer Kesha.
We will have to wait and see what this new style will be.
Brooks updates us on Instagram
Brooks recently shared a heartfelt message with his fans. Stating that he has taken time off from socials. Brooks felt like he needed the break to recharge and now he is more focused than ever and can’t wait to be doing the things he loves which is to make music and tour again.
Lucas & Steve announce album club mixes
Lucas & Steve announced that they have an EP which will be out on the 29th January and will contain club mixes of their favourite tracks from the album. You can see the announcement below ๐
They also recently did a live set for SLAM FM in the Netherlands with many of the club mixes being premiered for the first time
1001Tracklists shared their annual report ‘A State of Dance Music’
The annual report ‘A State of Dance Music‘ looked into the biggest tracks and sets from 2020. Remarkably there were more sets and mixes added to the 1001Tracklists database a rise of 30%.
The top labels included Spinnin Records, Armada Music, Hexagon and more.
What was interesting was to see the most supported dance & future house tracks.
