Kygo performed at the Mexico Grand Prix
Internationally renowned Norwegian DJ Kygo performed at this years Mexican Grand Prix. Following the action, Kygo waved the checkered flag to mark the end of the race. After this, he took to the podium to perform a DJ set that contained some of his most famous hits. He brought out a host of guests including Mexican Sofia Reyes and American singers Justin Jesso and Parson James.
Kygo had this to say “As a huge F1® fan, it’s a real privilege to be back in Mexico and performing at such an iconic race. The Foro Sol arena at the track, combined with the passion of the Mexican fans makes for an electric atmosphere. I wanted to do something that was worthy of the moment, to celebrate the race, but also people being able to come together again to enjoy live sport and music. It was special to collaborate with such a talented singer like Sofia Reyes in her home nation for this performance, plus combining orchestral elements with the violins and cellos. All of this added additional layers to the music and therefore more depth to the sound in order to create a performance that was truly unique.”

Soave Records start new sub-label Soave Sandcastle
Soave records have teamed up with management agency King’s castle to start a new sub-label together called Soave Sandcastle. The agency is home to artists such as De Hofnar & Kav Verhouzer.
Ruben Smulders: “I have worked with many labels and have experienced that the essence is sometimes forgotten: namely selling records, and now streaming. In my opinion, Soave is one of the few parties that does this in a great way and thus has real added value for artists instead of labels that piggyback on the digital success of the artists they sign. It’s great to see what they’ve accomplished in recent years and that they’ve really established themselves as a name
The first release came out a few weeks ago from De Hofnar titled ‘All That She Wants’ a rework of the classic tune by Ace Of Base.
Mike Williams to take a break from touring
Dutch DJ Mike Williams has announced that he is to take a break from touring. Posted to his social media platforms he has said
“Dear all,
I started this journey as a hobby, with love for music production and playing shows. I was excited for new releases, confirming new shows, traveling the world, meeting people and seeing fans, friends and family in the music industry. It was a dream coming true when my music became popular and when people were singing my songs along during shows, it gave me goosebumps every time! Also we managed to build this amazing team around me, with amazingly talented people joining me in this crazy ride.
But in the last period of my career I noticed that all these things didn’t make me as happy as they should. The pressure was taking the lead and my emotions were flat. That’s why I’m deciding to take a break. I need some time without feeling pressure, from myself or from outside. I wanna get that exciting feeling back, that spark, that energy and motivation. Because only then I’ll be performing at my absolute best, in the studio and also on stage. This means my schedule got cleared for a while, starting today, but I’ll be back before you know!
Thank you so much for still being on this very special journey with me.
Love, Mike“
