Pioneer have announced new all-in-one unit!
Pioneer has announced a new DJ controller, the DJ XDJ-RR. This is a cheaper model from the very popular DDJ-RX2. As it is only retailing at £1,019 pounds almost 500 pounds cheaper than the other model.
There are some notable differences between the DJ XDJ-RR and the DDJ-RX2. There are fewer beat FX, colour FX, no touchscreen and fewer performance pads. It does have the full license of the Rekordbox software. There is also duo USB ports for a seamless switchover. You can even record your own mix straight from the hardware.
There seems to be a strategy from Pioneer to provide entry-level DJs route into their world with more affordable equipment that mimick the flagship industry-standard units. While the RR won’t work as an external mixer there is a mic and phono input round back for shout outs or plugging in an external media player. We think this is a very worthwhile product.
