Spotlight – Zonderling

Zonderlig one of the most unique DJ duos throughout the industry. They have carved their own unique sound. Freaky sounds by a headstrong duo working on musical impulses, leading to a streak of powerful releases with a character of their own.

They are from the north of Holland and follow their own impulses to make unique sounds. Translated into English Zondelring means ‘eccentric’ or ‘someone who behaves differently to others’. This is true of uniquely minded producer Martijn and DJ Jaap. This lead to a brand new form of house music with a raw and melodic edge.

Zonderling has been growing from strength to strength since their first introduction in 2012 with ‘Sonderling’ on Dutch techno label Klopfgeist.

In 2014, Zonderling returned on Spinnin’ Records’ SPRS imprint. Darker tracks like ‘Pruillip’ were released, and dance connoisseurs went wild for the 8-Bit sounds and trance-like chords. It was house music with a mysterious twist.

They have since had countless releases on Dutch labels with international appeal such as Spinnin Records and Don Diablo’s Hexagon Record Label who have been massive supporters of their music.

One of their biggest tracks was ‘Tunnel Vision’ which received an edit from Don Diablo in 2017 and has now had over 7 million streams. This lead to them collaborating on their latest track ‘No Good’ and as well as this they have collaborated with Lost Frequencies on Crazy which is close to 100 million streams on Spotify. They are one of the industry’s rising stars. Starting out all mysterious they have slowly become recognisable names. With appearances at some of the biggest festivals such as Tomorrowland expect more from this talented duo.
