Swedish House Mafia have announced reunion in press conference!

Swedish House Mafia has announced their reunion this morning in a press conference that took place. They answered the questions in Swedish leaving many people confused. Here is what we know from the conference.

They noted that there was such a hugely positive reaction to their performance at Ultra music festival this year in Miami. Fans wanted the reunion to become permanent and through constant social media pressure and they noted that the man that bought about this reunion was in tears watching that performance.

When asked about new music they confirmed that they had already been working on new tracks, with a new album called TULSA on the way. When asked about the style of the music, they stated that it will sound like ‘the music of today’ but still in the style of Swedish House Mafia. I am guessing it will feature more bass-heavy sounds.

When asked about touring they still remain tight-lipped, citing that only one show has been confirmed Stockholm, Sweden on May 4th 2019 at the Tele2 Arena. They did say that more shows will be announced later.

On the note of their side projects, they explained that they will be giving 100% of their attention to Swedish House Mafia. This means Axwell and Seb’s duo project will end indefinitely. It also means Steve Angello will retire from solo work. When asked if they regretted breaking up 5 years ago they said it was the right choice. They now believe the time has once again come for them to reform and dominate dance music once again.
